How does the optical sensor work, and why is it so accurate?
The sensor uses advanced optical fluorescence technology to measure dissolved oxygen. Internal temperature and pressure compensation automatically adjust readings, ensuring accurate and reliable results across a wide range of conditions.
Does the sensor require regular maintenance or calibration?
No. Unlike traditional membrane-based sensors, our optical sensor is virtually maintenance-free and experiences very little annual drift, providing reliable long-term performance without routine calibration.
How can I record and store my readings?
Every meter includes free lifetime access to our DO Recording System. Readings can be securely stored and accessed from your smartphone, tablet, or PC, making it easy to analyse trends and maintain historical records.
Is the meter suitable for field use?
Yes. Designed for fisheries and outdoor environments, the meter is compact, durable, and supplied with a protective foam-lined carry case for safe transportation and storage.
Can the meter measure pH as well?
Yes. The meter supports interchangeable pH probes, allowing you to add accurate pH measurement with an accuracy of ±0.1 pH. Compatible pH probes are available separately through our shop.
